We Prosper Together Launches $9 Million Catalyst Fund for Workforce Development

This week is the kickoff for California Jobs First Catalyst Fund information events. The Catalyst Fund is awarding $9 million in grants for workforce development projects in eight Northern California counties, with a stated mission to:

  • Invest in industries that will advance environmentally sustainable, future focused, high quality job opportunities

  • Fund projects that ensure workers and disinvested communities are the primary beneficiaries

  • Advance projects toward implementation readiness, positioning them to compete effectively for future federal, state, or private funding

There will be a webinar for project proposers next Tuesday, December 10, from 9am to 10:30am. (Register Here) Sac CLC will be cohosting a workshop with the Ring of Democracy on January 15th at 6pm at our offices at 2617 K Street. We will be providing guidance on application best practices and encouraging collaborative partnerships among our members.

Valley Vision has published the We Prosper Together Regional Plan: Strategies for a Thriving and Inclusive Economy.

If you have any questions, please talk to Zach Freels (phone: (916) 538-0195, email: principal@zfpublicaffairs.com). Zach will help you through the application process, and he will be presenting the January workshop along with Scarlette Bustos of the Ring of Democracy.
